Level 1

Freemium workshop

We run two-hour interactive zoom webinars for groups of up to 20 or less. During these sessions we explain how to apply for grants, best practice approach – the positives and the potential pitfalls using real-world examples - and where relevant grants can be located.

At the end of this workshop attendees have an understanding of how to prepare for and complete a grant application, using an Innovate UK SMART grant template, and a step by step process to build up their application. The programme can be tailored to academic or business groups to ensure advice is relevant to the grants to which they are applying.

Level 2

Pre-assessment

This is a package where real Innovate UK assessors will assess their completed grant application, and they can use the feedback gained, along with coaching and support from the Anchored In team, to improve their application prior to submission.

Applicants complete and submit an Innovate UK SMART grant application template which we then pass over to three qualified Innovate UK grant assessors to get their feedback. Upon receipt of their feedback, typically within a week, Anchored In facilitates a 1-hour follow up call to explore the feedback and make suggestions as to how the application can be improved.

Cost / £1500+ VAT per grant application for single applicants

1:1 Grant Mentoring

Depending on the grant you are applying for, we provide an expert mentor to work with you on developing your grant strategy and application.

We have team members who are experienced grant assessors for national and European programmes. The level of support provided depends on your budget, your experience of completing grant applications, the level of support you require to get you ready for submission, and the availability of our team. Services can include mentoring, application reviews, grant development, identification and onboarding of collaborators, partnership support, and application pre and post mortems to understand why an application succeeded or may have failed to secure funding. We can also provide project management support and guidance for funded projects.

How we are different

We believe that grant applications should be as low cost to apply for as possible. Our ethos being that paid help should be afforded those who genuinely need it.

Our first goal is to provide you with the tools to allow you to “self-serve,” meaning you have the knowledge and understanding of the application process and requirements ink order to complete your own submission.

We also understand that, especially for busy entrepreneurs and small business owners, there simply isn’t enough time or energy in a working week to be filling out grant application forms. Busy business leaders find it useful to have access to support including someone experienced who understands what assessors are looking for and can take the time to review and provide feedback on an application prior to submission.

We work with different types of grants, including UK Research, European and Innovation grants.
